R J Sweeney’s Custom Painting is addressing concerns about the COVID-19 virus. Start with your exterior.  Our winters in California are not all sunshine and moon beams. They are cold, wet, dank and windy. The perfect combination to cause damage to our homes’ exteriors, especially the wood trim and walls. The gutters get full of debris, and there may be cracking of the stucco. Drop cloths - Which one to use? Drop cloths vary in size, weight and cost. There are a few to choose from. The first type is canvas. Canvas is usually the first choice of the professional painter. They are durable, absorbent and some come with a rubber/Butyl backing. This type of backing grips the floor and prevents slipping. Paint will not leak through this drop. The Butyl backed drops are generally the most costly to purchase. Drops also come in different sizes. As well as runners, 4’x15’.
